As one of 37 cities in China to implement the 144-hour visa-free transit policy at designated ports of entry, Nanjing is actively working to enhance the convenience of inbound tourism, with a particular focus on improving payment options, visitor information services, facilities and infrastructure, and international outreach and promotion.
The Grand Bao'en Temple Ruins Park, Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Area, Qixia Mountain Scenic Area, and Yuejiang Tower Scenic Area — four 4A-rated tourist attractions — have already introduced and are operating Nanjing's first batch of inbound tourism convenience ticketing machines. Upon arrival, overseas visitors can purchase tickets independently through multilingual interfaces (Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and Thai) and scan their ticket QR code at the entrance to enter. Further expansion of supported languages and service functions is planned based on the characteristics and needs of individual scenic areas.
