  Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum

  Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum is the final resting place of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Nestled on the mountainside, the entire complex is arranged along a central axis from south to north, starting with the Gate of Universal Benevolence, followed by the Sacred Way, the mausoleum gate, the stele pavilion, the memorial hall, and the tomb chamber. Viewed from above, it resembles a “Liberty Bell” resting on a lush green carpet. The three arches of the memorial hall are inscribed with the words “Nation,” “People’s Rights,” and “People’s Livelihood,” representing Sun’s core political philosophy known as the “Three Principles of the People.”

  Open-Air Music Hall

  Built in 1933, the Open-Air Music Hall was originally used for musical performances and speeches during ceremonies honoring Sun Yat-sen. Featuring a blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles, it offers both spacious grandeur and exquisite decorative artistry. White doves often flutter around, creating a peaceful atmosphere—perfect for a restful break where visitors can even feed the pigeons.

  Meiling Palace

  Originally the official residence of the Chairman of the Nationalist Government, Meiling Palace—also known as the "Little Red Mountain Residence"—was a favorite retreat for Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Mei-ling. The palace features elegant pale yellow walls and a roof adorned with green glazed tiles, intricately decorated with over a thousand phoenix sculptures. Viewed from above, the circular roads leading to the main building are lined with French sycamore trees, intertwining like a necklace, with Meiling Palace itself shining as a sparkling emerald centerpiece—exquisitely unique and refined.

  Nanjing Museum of Modern Chinese Historical Sites (Presidential Mansion of The Former Nantionalist (KMT) Regime)

  Step into the Presidential Palace and you step into a century of China’s history. A serene and elegant Chinese garden blends seamlessly with Western-style office buildings, reflecting the country’s transition from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. The hall proudly displays Sun Yat-sen’s calligraphy plaque inscribed with “All Under Heaven is for the Public” (“天下为公”). The museum is divided into three main exhibition areas—Central, West, and East—each showcasing valuable artifacts and historical documents. Today, it serves as the Museum of Modern Chinese History.
